Shuffleboarders attend tourney
Midland became the shuffleboard centre of the world beginning Aug. 11 to 15, when 150 guests, including a number from Wellington County, took part in the 33rd annual International Shuffleboard Tournament.
The event, hosted by the Canadian National Shuffleboard Association, featured teams from Canada, the USA, Brazil, Australia, Japan, Germany and the Netherlands.
Centre Wellington Shuffleboard Club players in the tournament included: Rendall and Myrna Bilton; Bill and Maureen Bryan; Casey and Greta DeBoer; John and Lenore Holder; Murray Burnett; Charles Bryan; Colette Brodie; Norm Lindsay; Albert Blom; and Herman Bucking.
