Wellington North’s economic development committee is opening the doors once more to show off the local business community.

Showcase Wellington North is being held in partnership with the Saugeen Economic Development Corporation, the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture Food and Rural Affairs, TD Canada Trust and the Arthur and Mount Forest Chambers of Commerce.

The third annual event is March 26 and 27 at the Arthur Community Centre. It provides businesses with the opportunity to show off products and services.

While businesses will be setting up displays on March 26, 5pm to 8pm is set aside for them to participate in a Business after Five networking reception. The next day, the showcase opens to the public from 1 to 7:30pm.

The showcase gives owners and residents a chance to learn more about businesses and services in their community.

The trade show also includes a number of seminars and workshops with a variety of experts.

The showcase marks this year’s launch of the Butter Tart Trail and includes the Butter Tart Café, where patrons can enjoy refreshments, taste samples and network.

Participants are invited to bring their best butter tart recipes for submission to the official Wellington North Butter Tart Trail recipe book.

Admission is free. Donations to the food bank will be accepted at the front door in lieu of admission.
