SHOEMAKER, Orlan L. Passed away peacefully on Monday, October 31, 2016 at Groves Memorial Community Hospital, Fergus, in his 76th year. Orlan, of RR 1, Elora, was the beloved husband of Elsie (Martin) Shoemaker. He is lovingly remembered by his children Bruce (Ruth) Shoemaker of RR 1, Arthur, Brian (Miriam) Shoemaker of RR 1, Elora, Marie (Paul) Reibel of RR 1, Moorefield, and Margaret (James) Frey of RR 3, Harriston. Missed by 20 grandchildren. Brother of Marie Shoemaker and Alice (Walter) Freeman. Brother-in-law of Edna Shoemaker, Mary Ann (George) Bowman, Abner (Edna) Martin, and Vera (Lloyd) Martin. Predeceased by his parents Alvin and Minerva (Lichty) Shoemaker, brothers Vernon and Delton, and sister Erma. Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 1 from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday, November 2 from 1-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira. A family service took place in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, November 3 at 9 a.m. then to the North Woolwich Mennonite Meeting House for burial and public service.
