Sepulis asks who determines gravel pits rehabilitation
ABERFOYLE - As council discussed various gravel pit compliance assessment reports on Nov. 20, Puslinch councillor John Sepulis noted one of the reports states the property was rehabilitated to allow for agricultural cropping.
Sepulis questioned “who makes that assessment, is it the same person who develops the site plan?”
Mayor James Seeley said he was speaking to a farmer a few days ago regarding a field on a rehabilitated site.
Seeley was told “if it doesn’t rain in August, nothing grows there.”
The site is very challenging for the person.
