September events at Ellis Chapel include concert

Ellis Chapel closes its summer season with two special events.

On Sept. 18 at 7:30pm two young award-winning barbershop quartets – Shoptimus Prime and Yonge Guns – will perform a return engagement in the historic chapel.

The concert begins at 7:30pm. There is no charge but any donations received will be used to support the chapel and Sing Canada Harmony, a charity supporting music education in Canada.

On Sept. 20 at 2:30pm the closing summer service will be led by Kees Vandermey, retired Presbyterian minister from Alma, with special music by Julia Gray of Cambridge.

Refreshments and fellowship will follow the service in the chapel gardens.

Located at 6705 Ellis Rd. in Puslinch Township, the chapel is wheelchair accessible and a washroom is located on the property.
