Second annual Minto business awards night
The second annual Minto Business Achievement awards was held on May 12 at Pike Lake.
The event recognized businesses and organizations making significant contributions to the community.
The Harriston Home Hardware Outstanding Organization award was presented to the Minto Arts Council, other nominees included the Harriston Legion, the Norwell Interact Club, and the Early Learning Centre.
The Wightman Telecom Business Innovation Award was presented to Wightman Telecom, and other nominees included Infusion Coffee and Reroot Organic Farm.
The Harry Stone’s Employer Excellence award was presented to Rite Trak Realty.
The Larry Grummett Insurance Business Community Service award was presented to Capri Hairstyling, the other nominee being Kimbal Printing.
In addition to the four annual awards, an inaugural Lifetime Achievement award was presented to Ray Wightman for his extensive contributions in business and volunteerism.
Trophies presented were hand-forged by local blacksmith Michael Shannon of the Bevelled Edge Blade and Blacksmith Shop.
