Scottish Festival makes FEO top six list
Festivals and Events Ontario (FEO) has announced its list of six of the best outdoor sport festivals and events of 2017.
Making the list was the Fergus Scottish Festival and Highland Games, scheduled for Aug. 11 to 13.
The festival offers world-renowned Celtic entertainment commemorating Scottish culture, including music, pipes, drums, heavies, dance, clans, vendors and more.
Other festivals highlighted were: Huron Fringe Birding Festival, May 26 to June 4 (Port Elgin); Glengarry Highland Games, Aug. 4 to 5 (Maxville); Rogers Cup, Aug. 5 to 13 (Toronto); Kingston Sheep Dog Trials Festival, Aug. 11 to 13; and the 9th Annual Great Canadian Kayak Challenge and Festival, Aug. 25 to 27 (Timmins).
