Scottish Festival, Erin fair, Hillside Festival recognized in Top 100 festivals, events in Ontario
The Fergus Scottish Festival and Highland Games, Hillside Festival and Erin Fall Fair have all garnered 2017 Top 100 Festival and Events Ontario (FEO) awards.
The awards were presented on March 3 during FEO’s annual conference in Sault Ste. Marie.
A press release issued by the Fergus Scottish Festival and Highland Games recognizes “all the incredible work undertaken by festival organizers, volunteers, community members, and its board of directors throughout the year.”
For the Scottish Festival, the award kicks off its new marketing campaign for the festival’s 72nd annual weekend.
The festival has redesigned its logo to reflect the “innovative and progressive direction” the festival is taking, officials say, and to promote and preserve 150 years of Scottish contributions to Canada’s history. It has also overhauled its website.
