The public school here will be saying goodbye on June 2 to a teacher who has spent 30 years with the community.
“People who serve the community, like a teacher, a doctor, or a coach are often overlooked even though they probably taught a life skill, piqued an interest, or maybe just took a moment to care,” said school council member Jane Beaudoin of Irene Bombis.
Beaudoin said that after 30 years of loyal service and being part of the lives of hundreds of children, Bombis has decided she is ready to move on to retirement.
Beaudoin said the council wants to honour Bombis.
“We invite anyone who wants her to know that she had an impact in their life while at Salem school or within the community. Join us at Salem Public School on June 2 from 7 – 8pm for cake and refreshments. Best wishes only.
