School hosts First Nations fundraiser
On Jan. 12, the Centre Wellington Aboriginal Club is hosting a fundraiser students of Attawapiskat First Nations.
The night includes a screening of the film, Apartheid Nation, as well as several guest speakers, including executive producer Angela O’Leary.
Following will be an open discussion on the current state of Attawapiskat and First Nations communities in general. There will also be a bake sale and admission is by donation and non-perishable food item for the local food bank.
Doors open at 6:30pm, the event starts at 7pm in the drama room at Centre Wellington District High School.
