MAPLETON – Drayton’s downtown streets were lined with happy, smiling faces during the annual Santa Claus parade on a snowy Dec. 6. Festively adorned floats, sparkling lit-up trucks and tractors, and cheerful performers made the seasonal spectacle not only merry, but very bright.
And for the grand finale, Santa and Mrs. Claus waved to all, spreading holiday cheer from their sleigh on the final float.
Following the parade, families flocked to the fire hall for a meet and greet with the jolly couple.
This will be the third year in row Mrs. Claus has joined her husband for their annual “date night.” According to Santa, “a jolly wife means a jolly life.”
