SANDERSON, Verna M. 1936-2016. Passed away peacefully on December 1st 2016 at The Juravinski Hospital in Hamilton, On. at the age of 80 years. Verna was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Duncan Sanderson who passed away in 2012. Sadly, she leaves behind her children Stephen (Pat) Sanderson, Corinne (Bill) Whately and Verna (David) Duncan, her grandchildren Ian Sanderson, Ross Sanderson, Erin (Steve) Sadler, Jacob (Julie)Whately, Clayton (Alyson) Whately, Melissa Duncan-Gould, Heather (Jeff) Coulter, Zach Duncan and Stuart Nelson. Also mourning their loss are the great grandchildren Joseph, Madison, Sydney, William, Faith, Jerome, Nyomi, Taylor and Maci and Verna’s sister Rosemary Delaronde and also Verna’s special friend Jim McEachran. Visitation for Verna took place at The Graham Giddy Funeral Home, 280 St. David Street South, Fergus, on Sunday December 4th from 7-9pm and the funeral Mass took place at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 760 St. David Street North at 1pm on Monday December 5th, reception to follow.
