Sandals gets new post

Guelph MPP Liz Sandals has been named a parliamentary assistant to the Minister of Health and Long-Term Care, Premier Dalton McGuinty announced May 20.

“I am honoured to have been chosen for this important role, and a role that is close to the hearts of constituents in my riding,” said Sandals. “I look forward to working with Minister [Deb] Matthews on critical health care issues, like lowering the cost of generic drugs for all Ontarians.”

Parliamentary assistants work with ministers on key priorities and projects within their portfolios. Sandals was previously assistant to the Minister of Transportation.
