SALMON, John Robert - Jan 26 1941 – Oct 18 2018. Passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, at Hospice Wellington, Guelph, on Thursday, October 18, 2018. John Robert Salmon was the beloved husband of the late Shirley (Lillie) Salmon (2010). A talented father, grandfather and great grandfather. John will be missed by his children, Deborah Light (Richard), Reuben Salmon (Joanne), and Tracey Anne Salmon (Grella), and by his grandchildren, Jane Palmer (Jason), Anne Erb (Kyle), Ben and Andrew Salmon, Monica Salmon-Penhuyzen, and Ayden Grella. He was greatly loved by his three great-grandchildren, Ellie and Stella Palmer and Cameron Erb. Fondly remembered by his sisters Jean Yates (the late Keith), and Peggy Lennox (Dave). Cremation has taken place. The family will receive their friends at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Rockwood Chapel, 117 Guelph St., Rockwood on Monday, October 29, 2018 from 7- 9pm. A celebration of John’s life will take place in the funeral home on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at 11am. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Hospice Wellington would be appreciated by the family.
