Safety zone to include all of Morriston

Council here is consenting to have the Morriston community safety zone extended to include all of the community along Highway 6.

Part of that consent included Puslinch Township  forwarding correspondence to the Wellington County planning department requesting that they commence the necessary documentation to extend the zone southward to include all of Morriston.

Council then looked to local Wellington County councillor Don McKay for his opinions on the proposal.

It was McKay who came to council recently recommending that council consider a southerly extension of the zone.

McKay said this proposal would allow the safety zone to be contained within an area regulated by the 50km/h speed limit.

The move was endorsed by council without further discussion.
