Safe Communities Wellington County launches 'Take 10' campaign
Safe Communities wants to inspire residents of Wellington County to determine what they can do in 10 short minutes to prevent injuries in their home and throughout the community. Residents are encouraged to check out the hashtags #take10wellington and #whatis10minutes.

WELLINGTON COUNTY - Safe Communities Wellington County (SCWC) is running a campaign to inspire local residents to determine what they can do in just 10 minutes to prevent injuries in their home and throughout the community.

The #Take10Wellington campaign will run until Sept.11 on the organization’s Twitter, Facebook and Instagram feeds: @safecwc.

“We are complementing the back-to-school routines that also take approximately 10 minutes to complete before heading to school," SCWC officials stated in a Sept. 3 press release.

"New routines are being adopted for back-to-school, so, new routines to keep your family and community safe are achievable too."

Officials are asking “What can you do in 10 minutes to keep Wellington County safe?"

If everyone works together, they say, "we will have a phenomenal impact on preventing injuries across Wellington County.”

SCWC priority areas include motor vehicle collisions, falls, intentional self harm, accidental poisonings, pedestrians and cyclists, sports and recreation, and agricultural machinery and tools.
