Back by popular demand, Fraberts Fresh Food and the Highland Rugby Club are proud to present the second annual Whiskey Tasting Dinner to kick off Tartan Day weekend at the Highland Rugby Club on April 12 at 7pm.

“This event was really popular last year so we knew we wanted to do it again this year,” stated Highland Rugby Club President, Joe Bowley.

“We have added the wine tasting component to appeal to a broader audience.”

Award-winning wine maker Sue-Ann Staff, of Staff Estate Winery, will be leading the wine tasting. Staff has won many awards, including “Wine Maker of the Year” (first female and youngest ever to win this award) and most recently “Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year”.

Local connoisseur Norm Litchfield will lead participants through a sampling of whiskeys from around the world, from Canada to Scotland to New Zealand.

Tickets are $40 and include a delicious striploin beef dinner prepared by Fraberts Fresh Food, entertainment and a chance to win a door prize.  Tickets are available at Fraberts or through social@highlandrugby.com.   Proceeds go to the completion of the Victoria Park Fieldhouse, changing rooms, and showers for local Sports groups.
