Royal Terrace wins award

The Palliative Care Committee of Royal Terrace was presented the team cate­gory award at the annual Hos­pice Palliative Care recognition night held in Breslau recently.

The team was nominated by the Director of Care, Rose Brown, and was supported by sev­eral letters from families. The award was presented by the Waterloo Wellington Duf­ferin Hospice Palliative Care Network and the team was chosen from four nominees for loving, compassionate care of the dying and their families.

The award was received by Joyce Riehle and her team members. Also in attendance were Rose Brown, Kash and Norma Ramchandani, owners, and Allan and Pat Leem, from Hardy Lee Funeral Home in Harriston.

Royal Terrace is a com­mu­nity-oriented long term care facility comprising of a nursing home and residential care sec­tion. Activities for entertain­ment, restorative care and spec­ial events are organized to help to meet residents' recreational, social, spiritual, intellectual needs.
