Rotary Club Brunch to take place at the Arboretum Oct. 5

GUELPH – The Rotary Club of Guelph-South in inviting the community to its annual Brunch at the Arboretum fundraiser on Oct. 5.

“Set amidst the scenic autumn beauty of the University of Guelph Arboretum, this event combines community spirit, a delectable buffet brunch,  live jazz musicians, and an opportunity to make a significant difference for local charities,” officials state.

Last year’s event raised more than $70,000, including $53,500 from live auctions, benefiting five charitable organizations.

This year’s beneficiaries include Amarok Society, Guelph-Wellington Women in Crisis, KidsAbility, Royal City Mission and SEEDS.

Funds raised will support programs in literacy, housing and food security, gender-based violence prevention, children’s therapy and rehabilitation and support for victims of human trafficking.

Charities will be present to share their missions and connect with attendees during the “Fund A Need” live auction segment.

In addition to brunch, guests can participate in live and silent auctions featuring unique items and experiences.

Brunch proceeds go directly to the charitable partners and Rotary programs.

Brunch at the Arboretum welcomes sponsors, donors and community members wishing to build a stronger community and shaping brighter futures  for women, children and marginalized people locally.
