The Grand River Conservation Authority has completed a class Environmental Assessment regarding the Upper Rockwood Dam on the Eramosa River in the Rockwood Conservation Area.

The assessment was prepared in accordance with the Class Environmental Assessment rules for remedial flood and erosion control projects  approved for projects of this type. As described in the assessment, subject to approvals, the Conservation Authority is proposing to remove the upper Rockwood dam.

Interested persons are invited to review the document at the Grand River Conservation Authority head office in Cambridge, at the Rockwood library or the Rockwood Conservation Area. It is also available on the GRCA website at www.grandriver.ca.

Written comments may be provided to the GRCA by Nov. 7.  For further information or to submit comments, contact Naomi Moore at (519) 621-2761 or email: nmoore@grandriver.ca.
