The East Wellington Family Health Team is now taking patients at its new Rockwood clinic.

The registration dates are as follows:

- April 26 at Rockmosa community centre in Rockwood from 2 to 8pm;

- May 4 at the Rockwood clinic, from 2 to 4pm and 5 to 7pm: and

- May 7 at the Rockwood clinic, from 9am to noon, and 2 to 4pm.

There will be no enrollment at the Rockwood clinic other than during the above specified times. Officials ask that people do not call the office. After May 7, enrollment will be available at the Rockwood clinic during office hours.

As per Ministry of Health guidelines, the clinic is required to enroll priority patients in the community:

- patients who currently do not have a physician;

- their family physician has moved to another community;

- the patient has moved to another community; and

- their family physician is no longer available due to illness, death, retirement or a change in practice type.

Those registering should  bring a valid health card for you and your dependents. People will not be enrolled without one.

Health Team officials will be capping enrollment to 800 patients, but it foresees opening enrollment again in the fall or sooner if another physician joins the team.
