Riverfest Elora has announced the Road To Riverfest Tour, which will see three up-and-coming acts perform in seven cities across southern Ontario.

New Swears from Ottawa will be joined on the road by the Drew Thomson Foundation, a London-based band, and Cobourg’s Cleopatrick for seven dates starting in Hamilton on May 2 and ending at a Canadian Music Week Showcase at Longboat Hall on May 12.

Tour dates are:

- May 2 at This Ain’t Hollywood in Hamilton;

- May 3 at Rum Runners in London;

- May 4 at Warehouse in St. Catharines;

- May 5 at Red Dog in Peterborough;

- May 10 at eBar  in Guelph;

- May 11 at The Windsor Beer Exchange  in Windsor; and

- May 12  at CMW at Longboat Hall in Toronto.

The tour is a launch for the Road to Riverfest Music Series, which will see past, present and future Riverfest Elora performers visit various venues throughout the summer as a part of the festival’s 10th annual celebrations and as a lead in to Riverfest Elora’s 10th edition, happening Aug. 17 to 19 at Bissell Park in Elora. Riverfest Elora will be announcing its lineup on March 22.
