RIXHAM, Kathleen Elizabeth. Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on October 16, 2015 at Caressant Care, Fergus in her 85th year. Beloved wife of Horace Rixham of Fergus. Loving mother to Sharon Medland (Tom), Barry Dempsey (Roxanne), Judy Upton (Merv), Danny Dempsey (Connie), Dini O’Connor (Gary), Kim Cormier (Don), Ivan Dempsey (Mary), Aaron Dempsey (Tammy) and Melissa Stephenson (Peter). Proud grandmother to 18 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her first husband Joseph Robert Dempsey, granddaughter Malarie Angela Cormier, son-in-law Thomas Brian Medland and daughter-in-law Debra Dempsey. Friends were invited to share their memories of Kathleen with her family during visitation at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home, Fergus on Saturday, October 17, 2015 from 10-11 a.m. The Funeral Service followed in the Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow.
