On Jan. 19, Wellington County OPP were conducting a RIDE check on Gore Road, near Cambridge.

At about 10:30pm, the driver of a blue sedan entered the RIDE. Upon further questioning, the driver falsely identified himself as another person and could not provide the documents as requested.

Investigation revealed the true identity of the male and that his driver’s licence was currently suspended.

The male allegedly became resistant when officers attempted to arrest him. When officers did arrest the male, a search revealed that he was in possession of crystal methamphetamine.

S. Randolph (Randy) Seaton, 48, of Cambridge was charged with  obstruct police, impersonation and resist a peace officer, possession of methamphetamine and driving while suspended contrary. He is to appear in Guelph court on Feb. 23.
