The group’s instrumental styles jump from reggae to metal then, back to folk while stopping off in funky town often, all in one song.. Quirky is a word well suited to describe Sanchez.
Targeting lighthearted topics such as crows and robots, the self-proclaimed “greatest band on earth” leaves audiences in hysterics.
For the passed 9 years Rico Sanchez have been Centre Wellington’s biggest indie act. The band has seven albums, including 16 Classics by the Greatest band on Earth; Rico Sanchez’(2008).
With over 10,000 albums independently sold, Sanchez has packed every venue in the Fergus and Elora region and has headlined shows at Clinton’s Tavern (Toronto), the Circus Room (Kitchener), the Shadow, and Manhattan’s Pizza (both in Guelph).
The event marks the ninth anniversary of Rico Sanchez’ existence and is also a CD re-release party. The Legion is located on Metcalfe Street.
