Birmingham Retirement Resi­dence has a new spa.

Nothing beats winter chills like soaking in a hot relaxing bath. At Birmingham Retire­ment Community, residents can do that. With their newly de­signed spa, residence can relax in a luxurious surroundings while listening to soothing tranquil music and watching the candles flicker.

Imagine having the luxury of a spa treatment without ever having to leave your home. Residents need not even step outside the door. They can receive treatment and be pam­pered by simply visiting it. As a part of the major renovation that Birmingham is currently undergoing, the spa and salon are now complete and ready for business.

Birmingham’s hair salon has also undergone major chan­ges. It has moved to a first floor location with the salon and spa, and offers a larger waiting lounge where guests can enjoy a cup of tea and watch the tropical fish in the large aquarium. In addition to perms, colours, cuts, and sets, the salon is also offering manicures and pedicure-polish changes.

Getting in and out of a tub can sometimes present challen­ges to seniors. Birmingham has the problem solved. With the assistance of a health care professional, residents can step into the new arjo tub, designed specifically for seniors. The can recline and relax in the tub with variable speed air jets, with the assistance or assurance that a health care worker is close by. 

In addition to the new Salon and Spa, Birmingham has just about completed renovations to its new lounge, complete with a full demonstration kitchen and wooden dance floor. The din­er’s club that is hosted monthly should be running again by April. Space is limited, so call to get onto the invitation list.
