Responsibility for wastewater treatment plant project changes hands at town

ERIN – The town’s infrastructure director has taken leave of his position as work continues on Erin’s $129-million wastewater treatment plant project.

Town spokesperson Lavina Dixit confirmed in a Sept. 11 email that Erin infrastructure director Nick Colucci “is on leave.”

Dixit would not speak to the type of leave, and there is no known return date for Colucci.

The town won’t comment further on “personal and personnel matters,” Dixit said.

Wastewater project manager Khalid Rahman has since taken over Colucci’s responsibilities.

A date for the next project update to council hadn’t been set as of Monday.
