Not all Puslinch residents are in favour of the township investigating the provision of water and sewer services to a portion of the municipality.

On June 6, council received a letter from residents Neil and Jo-Anne MacLean stating “our family is adamantly against changing our water and septic to municipal services.

“We do not support wasting more time and our tax money to further look into the feasibility of such services to our area at this time.”

They were also emphatic they did not want to see healthy well water replaced with “Guelph’s sub-standard treated water.”

They questioned spending money to cover the extreme costs of fixing something that is not broken, stating, “The residents of Puslinch do not have the money nor the population to support this project.”

The MacLeans stated, “We believe this project should be shelved until such time in the future when it may make sense ... that is not now.”
