Reminessence Festival reunion dinner, dance

On June 28, visitors can relive memories of the past at the Reminessence Festival reunion dinner dance.

The event will be held at the Centre Wellington community Sportsplex at 550 Belsyde Avenue starting at 5pm. It is one of the official events in the Homecoming Weekend in celebration of Fergus’ 175th anniversary. The evening includes a roast beef dinner catered by the Alma Optimists – famous for their beef dinners. Then dance to the old favourite songs.

Enter or enjoy the classic stars competition. The event is open to those who like to sing music from the 1950s, ’60s and ’70s. Applications are available at www.remfest.com or at the festival office at 181 St. Andrew Street East Fergus.

The headline performers are  Pauly and the Greaseballs, and the show will feature the Backroads Band. Tickets for the dinner dance are $30 each. For the dance only, tickets are $10. This is an age of majority event. For tickets, call Ralph Basset Associates at 519-843-4852, or Centre Wellington Chamber of Commerce office at 519-843-5140.
