Reliable Motors is 70 years young
Not many business can lay claim to seven decades in business - but Reliable Motors is one of the select few.
This weekend, Reliable Motors is celebrating 70 years in business.
However, while it has lasted over the years, the business has had a number of locations.
It started off at 181 St. Andrew Street East before heading down the street in 1949 to 133 St. Andrew Street East. A decade later, in 1959, the business moved to 140 St. Patrick Street West further expanding its operations in 1970.
In March 2001, Reliable Motors moved to the current location at 990 Tower St. S.
Today, it has 23 employees, including eight office and sales people. Some staff have over 20 years with the company.
To show how it feels about the community, Reliable is holding a customer appreciation day on May 23 from 8am to 3pm.
On display will be vehicles from the past 70 years.
In addition, there will be entertainment, a charity car wash, a barbecue and birthday cake from 11am to 1pm.
