Integrity and goodness in heaven
I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. (Psalm 27:13)
Imagine – heaven.
Heaven abounds with everything that appeals to my desires, is suitable for my welfare, is useful in my dealings, is pleasant to my nature, is wholesome for my body, and is gratifying to my soul.
In heaven, there is a more than adequate supply of everything necessary and good, for here the highest standards, those of the Lord Almighty, have been fully met. Everything desired or needed has been supplied; nothing else needs to be acquired and nothing else needs to be done. Heaven and heaven’s economy is permanently and forever perfect.
The Lord of heaven is good. He is better than the best. All his tendencies are favorable, everything he gives, he gives bountifully, and his works are always desirable. When he acts on my behalf, it is always suitable to my well-being. The clothes he gives me in heaven always fit and the tools he supplies here are always more than adequate.
His presence here is pleasant. He surrounds me with everything that is wholesome. Nothing here is ever lacking, but always more than adequate. He is everything I desire, and he is everything I require, and I love how clever he is!
His accommodations are always first-class.
His conduct is always virtuous and commendable.
His intentions are always kind.
His procedures are always completed with competence and skill.
His finished products are always of the highest worth and reliability.
His economy is always marked with abundance.
His abilities are always sufficient to achieve the end intended; he gets the job done – every time!
Heaven’s residents possess an auspicious character and are led by the purest inclinations. Every person in heaven is good, and each person’s intentions are good. Each and every person here is morally upright and all relationships are praiseworthy.
As I fellowship with those who dwell here, kindness surrounds me, competence is displayed in all its people, and loyalty is commonplace. Each and every person remains unshakable in his or her commitment to one another, and they are firmly and fervently devoted to the causes of God’s glorious order. Friendships in heaven are characterized by the highest worth. Friends in heaven are absolutely reliable; everyone lives for the prosperity and advancement of all.
Such is the glorious expectation of all those who serve the Lord!
