Reeves, Mary Irene (Newton); It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Irene, on Monday, March 30th, 2009 at Wellington Terrace, Fergus, Ontario. Beloved wife of Terry for 62 years. Loving mother to Robert (Doreen), Marion (Jim Slobodian), Terry Jr. (Carole), Carol (Jack Weiler), and son-in-law Glenn Boles. Wonderful grandmother to Jo-Anne Smith, Sarah Thornton, Katie, Jack and Thomas Reeves, step-grandmother to Adam, Jamie, Liana and Erika and great-grandmother to Jessie, Brooke, Sam, Avery and Noah. Predeceased by her daughter Patricia, son John and brother Robert. Family and friends were received at Thomson Funeral Home in Fergus on Wednesday, April 1st from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. The funeral service was on Thursday, April 2nd at 1pm. Remembrances to the Alzheimer Society of Guelph-Wellington or Groves Memorial Community Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family. The Reeves family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the wonderful staff at Wellington Terrace who took such good care of Irene over the past years.
