It was almost a case of life imitating art.

On July 16, Puslinch Fire Chief Steven Goode commented on a June 23 collision in Morriston involving two transport trucks at the intersection of Badenoch and Queen Street.

“We used many materials to pick up the fuel which leaked out of one of the transport trucks,” said Goode, who noted there was also property damage to a home. Goode said the response would be discussed at an upcoming desktop emergency management session.

Mayor Dennis Lever commented further on the collision and the emergency management session.

He said the scheduled exercise for the township, which was already in the works prior to the June 23 accident, was the impact of a major transport truck collision in downtown Morriston.

The difference is that the mock emergency included a large explosion as well.
