Reading Rocks is looking for volunteer tutors

GUELPH - The Reading Rocks program is looking for volunteer tutors to support children with reading difficulties.

The  volunteers will be working one-on-one with a child aged six to 12 years, helping him/her with reading skills.

The program runs Mondays and Wednesdays or Tuesdays and Thursdays (depending on location) for one hour sessions. Programs run for 16 sessions and begin the week of Sept. 30.

The tutoring program takes place at St. James Catholic High School at 57 Victoria Road N in Guelph on Monday and Wednesdays from 6:30 to 7:30pm.

The session will also take place at Guelph Collegiate Vocational Insititute at  155 Paisley Street in Guelph on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30 to 7:30pm.

In Wellington County the program will take place at the Wellington County Learning Centre at 207-A George Street in Arthur on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 to 7pm.
