Raceway to host trivia fundraiser
A top reward of $250 is awaiting the best trivia team in the Grand River Raceway’s inaugural Grand Trivia Night to benefit Crime Stoppers Guelph Wellington.
The Feb. 25 event features $200 in prize money for the top trivia team, plus a $50 bonus if the team beats the “pro team” of OPP officers.
The cost is $25 per person and participants can register in teams of two or four. The ticket price includes 60 questions in three rounds (mostly general knowledge and some true crime trivia), a $10 slots voucher, snacks and HST. A nominal online ticket fee is extra. Crime Stoppers benefits $5 from each ticket, plus all sales from a raffle table and live auction items.
The event is at the Lighthouse Restaurant on Feb. 25. Doors open at 6:30pm, trivia begins at 7pm and concludes at 9pm. Tickets are available online.
