‘Puzzle now, Visit Later’ contest open to residents of Elora and Fergus

ELORA – A new contest is offering winners the chance to relive some of their favourite memories of Fergus and Elora by transforming their photos into puzzles.

In an April 16 press release, Elora Fergus Tourism officials say “The Puzzle Now, Visit Later” social media contest will provide “something fun to do while following physical distancing from the comfort of their own homes.”

The contest encourages people to share, on Instagram or Facebook, photos of the place in Elora/Fergus they most look forward to revisiting after COVID-19 travel restrictions are lifted.

Winners will have their photos transformed into puzzles.

“As soon as travel is deemed safe, we will have our arms wide open to welcome visitors back to our amazing community,” said Centre Wellington Mayor Kelly Linton.

“However, before we can physically see you again, let’s re-live those memories virtually.

“I cannot wait to see all of the amazing memories that have taken place in Elora/Fergus.”

Officials say puzzles have seen a huge upswing in popularity during the global pandemic as people look for engaging ways to occupy their time.

To enter the Puzzle Now, Visit Later contest, tag Facebook or Instagram photos with @elorafergus and use the hashtag #eloraferguspuzzle (see full contest details on Facebook and Instagram).

Elora Fergus Tourism will randomly select winners on May 5.
