ABERFOYLE – Puslinch Township has launched a community engagement survey on the municipality’s proposed donation policy on EngagePuslinch.ca.
The proposed policy outlines a framework for accepting and managing voluntary contributions that support municipal projects, programs and services.
This policy includes monetary donations, in-kind contributions, sponsorship and naming rights agreements, and the township’s commemorative bench and tree program.
The policy aims to ensure transparency, effective resource management and appropriate acknowledgment of donor contributions, township officials say.
Citizen feedback is essential in shaping a policy that reflects community values and priorities, said Mayor James Seeley.
“This proposed donation policy is a key step in ensuring that all contributions are managed transparently and effectively to serve the community’s needs.”
The survey will remain open until Feb. 5.
Council will discuss the matter, review feedback and receive comments from residents at its Feb. 20 meeting.
