Puslinch Optimist Winter Classic is this weekend

It will be a weekend to remember as the Puslinch Optimists host their second annual Winter Classic here from Feb. 15 to 17.

The event kicks off with a hockey tournament on Saturday and Sunday. Food and beverages will be available at the Puslinch community centre.

Also starting Saturday will be the snow sculpture competition involving local groups and organizations. Judging for this is set for Sunday afternoon.

Family Day, Feb. 17, will be the big day for the kids with the many activities planned all day, including a magician from 11am to noon.

The Optimist Recreation Centre gym will be open for pickup basketball, volleyball or other indoor activities.

Meanwhile the rink will be open for shinny hockey in the morning and open skating in the afternoon.

Favourites from last year including horse drawn sleigh rides and an antique Bombardier school bus will provide rides throughout the day.

All events and activities on Monday are free, including food and drinks at the Optimist food trailer.
