Puslinch man charged in sexual assaults involving minors between 1986 and 1991

WELLINGTON COUNTY – A Puslinch man is facing multiple sexual assault charges related to incidents involving minors between 1986 and 1991.

Wellington County OPP officials stated in a Feb. 29 press release that the investigation began last September.

"We will not be identifying the specifics regarding the number of victims, but will confirm that it is more than one," OPP spokesperson Josh Cunningham stated in an email response to Advertiser requests for more information.

Police would not provide details about where the sexual assaults took place but did say "there may be more victims."

Brian Edward Cox, 68, of Puslinch, was charged with four counts of sexual assault, two counts of gross indecency and two counts of sexual intercourse with a female aged 14 to 16.

He is to appear in Guelph court on April 23.

The two charges for sexual intercourse with a female aged 14 to 16 were later dropped.
