Puslinch keeps facilities open amid COVID-19 pandemic

ABERFOYLE – All public facilities remain open in Puslinch Township.

“We haven’t been directed from public health or the province to close any of our public facilities at this time,” director of finance Mary Hasan said.

“So right now, at this time, because you know the information continues to evolve and we get further information, our facilities are not closed.”

She encouraged people to check out the township website for the most up-to-date information.

The township is encouraging residents to use online services and email or call the township before coming to the municipal office in person.

“We also have signage at our public facilities for individuals entering into our facilities to ensure that they’re not entering if they feel any of the symptoms or if they’ve been out of country to one of those infected areas,” Hasan said.

“And staff have also been advised of preventative measures to be followed.”

The township’s next council meeting is not until March 26, so a decision on meetings will be made closer to the date.
