Nestlé Waters Canada recently announced that the company and its employees performed a mid-year clean-up along Wellington Road 34 as part of its Adopt-A-Road program participation.

Employees worked on Wellington Road 34 between Victoria Road and the Wellington-Halton county line as well as Wellington Road 34 between Brock Road South and Highway 6.

The program is a public service initiative for volunteers to enhance the local litter collection activities of the community where they live by picking up litter along road right-of-ways.

It is a way for environmentally-conscious industries to contribute to cleaner and more beautiful road systems in their community.

Under the program, the company has agreed to adopt a section of road allowance and keep it clean.

In turn, the company is recognized by a sign erected by Wellington County acknowledging its efforts.
