PURDY, Verna Merle: Passed away at Groves Memorial Hospital, Fergus on Wednesday, March 29, 2017, in her 84th year, with her loved ones by her side. Beloved mother of David and Walter. Cherished grandmother of Ryan and Robert, and great-grandmother of Tayler and Natalya.  Predeceased by her husband John and her siblings. Thank you to the staff of Highland Manor and the great nurses of Groves Memorial for their support. Visitation was at Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph, on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 7th at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Guelph, at 3 p.m.  As expressions of sympathy, donations to Humane Society of Waterloo Wellington would be appreciated by the family.
