Pumpkin Day a highlight of Thanksgiving weekend
Pumpkin Day - Sensational Elora had great weather for its Pumpkin Day event on Oct. 10 at Bissell Park in Elora. Children carved pumpkins, competed for prizes then took their pumpkins home with them. Along with watching Kevin Bender carve a face on a 40-pound pumpkin, those attending could enjoy a bouncy castle, reptile show and other entertainment. Pumpkin Day - Sensational Elora had great weather for its Pumpkin Day event on Oct. 10 at Bissell Park in Elora. Children carved pumpkins, competed for prizes then took their pumpkins home with them. Along with watching Kevin Bender carve a face on a 40-pound pumpkin, those attending could enjoy a bouncy castle, reptile show and other entertainment.

Feeding lettuce to tortoises are Clara and Ageline Bedford from Fergus.
The reptile exhibit proved very popular with everyone, including Penny Ladds with a python around her neck, and mother Melissa Johnston-Ladds from Fergus.
