Ponsonby U15 girls win gold

PONSONBY – The Ponsonby U15 girls won gold at the ‘C’ division year-end league tournament. From the beginning of the season it was a struggle to put enough players together to form a team, officials say. “We were lucky to have some brand new ball players join our longtime players and develop their skills over the season, as well as a couple call-ups from our U13 team,” they said. “These girls were always picking each other up and encouraging each other.
