Ponsonby Minor Ball to host OASA Provincial Championship
The Ponsonby U-10 Atom Jr. Sting Boys softball team played in Drumbo on July 19.
The tournament was an OASA qualifier for the Provincial championships, which Ponsonby Minor Ball will be hosting at the park on Aug. 19 and 20.
The team consisted of players from each of the three Ponsonby teams.
This was their first time playing together as a team.
They came away with one win (23-1 over Baden) and two losses (18-3 against Sebringville and 17-10 against New Hamburg).
This was a great experience for the boys who will be playing next as a team in Ponsonby on Aug. 19, officias say.
The team invites everyone to come out to watch the local ball players.
