FERGUS – Police are searching for two suspects, one who was carrying a weapon, after a robbery at the Fergus LCBO on Thursday.
Wellington County OPP officers were called the the liquor store, on Parkside Drive just off St. David Street (Highway 6), at about 2pm.
“It was reported that two suspects had entered the business and stole an undisclosed amount of alcohol,” police stated in a May 23 press release.
“During the robbery, one of the suspects brandished a weapon before fleeing.”
Asked about the weapon, OPP spokesperson Kirk MacDonald told the Advertiser it was “an expandable baton.”
Police say no one was injured and the suspects were last seen in a black Nissan Rogue that fled northbound on Highway 6.
One suspect is described as a man with a dark complexion, aged 20 to 30, with a thin build, approximately 5’5” tall and 120 pounds, with brown eyes, black hair and black facial hair.
He was wearing a brown GAP hoodie, grey athletic track pants, white and black running shoes, a black baseball cap and a white medical mask.
The second suspect is described as a man with a dark complexion, aged 20 to 30, with a thin build, approximately 5’5” tall and 120 pounds, with brown eyes, black hair and a beard.
He was wearing a brown Balenciaga hoodie, grey athletic pants, black baseball cap, blue shoes and a black backpack with red camo straps.
