Police release image of break-in suspect, vehicle

Police have released a photo of a suspect and vehicle they say was involved in at least one break-in near Ariss last week.

On July 21 at about 3pm someone broke in (through a garage door and then an interior door) to a residence on Wellington Road 86 near Ariss and stole about $3,000 in jewelry and cash. Police say a silver SUV was involved in the theft.

On July 21 police were called to a second break-in on Wellington Road 86 near Ariss. Police say someone entered the home through a rear patio door and rummaged through the home, but nothing was stolen.

Police have released a photo showing a silver vehicle parked in a driveway and an individual approaching the garage wearing a dark hat, blue jacket and black pants with a red stripe. The person is carrying what appears to be a bag and may be wearing a fanny pack.
