On April 5 at 7pm the doors of Three Willows United Church will open for a dessert and cabaret concert called Piano Stars with Rob White and Company.
This new show is a toe-tapping tribute to the people and songs that have made the piano famous such a Liberace, Elton John, Diana Krall and Beethoven.
At 3:30pm, the same afternoon, they will entertain kids of all ages in a show called “The Playful Piano” based on the music of “Mr. Music Box Dancer,” Frank Mills.
The nucleus of Rob White and Company is Rob White on piano and keyboards, Chris Cigolea on trumpet and vocalist, Tony Hastings.
They will be joined for the evening concert by John Cusinato on drums and Rob Brown “Bubba” on bass. All but Rob Brown live in Guelph and area.
Rob White is sought after as a keyboardist. He has toured with the von Trapp children and performed in Patti Page’s final Canadian tour.
Chris Cigolea is likely the best known locally, as he is the conductor of the Guelph Youth Symphony Orchestra and principal trumpet for the Guelph Symphony Orchestra.
Admission for Piano Stars is $25. Admission for The Playful Piano is $10 for adults, $5 for kids and $20 per family.
Call the church at 519-822-7690 to reserve tickets, as seating is limited.
