Photo and volunteer workshop is on Sept. 13

Focus on Nature is hosting a volunteer information session for anyone interested in becoming involved with its photography program.

The session will take place on Sept. 13, from 4 to 5pm, at Flo Studio, 260 Waterloo Ave. (just west of Edinburgh Road). The event will provide participants with a chance to learn more about Focus on Nature, and to hear about a variety of opportunities available for volunteering with the program.

Focus on Nature delivers photography workshops in schools and outdoor education centres as a way of inspiring young people to explore and connect with the natural world. During the workshops students are taught creative and technical skills in photography, participate in walking field trips, and are encouraged to slow down and appreciate the beauty of local natural areas.
