Performance of Cats added due to demand

Centre In The Square has added a new performance of Cats to the run of performances coming to Kitchener in February.

The added matinee performance takes place Tuesday, Feb. 24 at 2pm. Tickets went on sale Jan 20 at 10am and started at at $59.

Centre In The Square General Manager Jamie Grant was thrilled to add a third performance. “There’s no better way to introduce your family to the wonders of live theatre than with the magic, the mystery and the wonder of Cats.”

What began as a musical about cats after Andrew Lloyd Webber picked up a book of poems in an airport bookshop has become one of the longest running shows in Broadway’s history. Winner of seven Tony awards including best musical, Cats features 20 of his melodies, including Memory.

Cats is the longest continuously touring show in American theatre history. Five continents, 26 countries, over 8.5 million audience members and 26 years later, Cats is still America’s most loved family musical.
